Former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu wrote to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to request the government to allot Praja Vedika in Undavalli to be his official residence in the capacity of Leader of the Opposition. Praja Vedika abuts the house in which Chandrababu is currently living in Guntur.

TDP leaders met Chandrababu at his residence in Undavalli on Tuesday to discuss various issues pertaining to the party’s defeat in the recently held elections. The TDP senior leaders believed to have observed that Chandrababu’s official residence as Opposition leader should be spacious enough to conduct various party meetings and conferences. It was here the TDP leaders told Chandrababu to write to the Chief Minister seeking his permission for Praja Vedika to be used as the residence of the Leader of the Opposition.

 Chandrababu is believed to have told senior leaders that the current party office was not convenient for party leaders and workers and instructed Devineni Uma and Kesineni Nani to find a suitable building in the heart of Vijayawada. The participants of the meeting resolved that the party should form parliamentary committees in place of district committees to strengthen the party from the grass root level.
