Only Congress can grant special state status to Andhra Pradesh: Raghuveera Reddy

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President N Raghuveera Reddy said that the Congress is the only party that can grant special state status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.

On the closing eve of 'Prathyek Hodha Bharosa Yatra' (special status assurance tour) at Narsanapet in Srikakulam district on Sunday night; Raghuvira Reddy assured that the Congress party will implement all the guarantees and provisions mentioned in the AP Reorganization Act after assuming office at the centre.

He also appealed to the people to bless the Congress party in the upcoming elections for the better future and welfare of Andhra state. Mr Reddy stated that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy expressed their confidence in Congress that this is the only party which will grant special status to Andhra Pradesh.

He even mentioned that TDP National President and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has also expressed confidence in the Congress party for the special status of the state. He said that after seeing the true face of the BJP, Chandrababu Naidu left the NDA alliance and coalesced with the Congress party.

He further reminded that during the 2014 elections, Narendra Modi had given assurance of better job opportunities to the youth after assuming office as the Prime Minister, but he didn't deliver his promise and started hinting youth on self-employment. Mr Reddy hopes that all the youth will vote against the BJP and teach Modi a lesson in the forthcoming elections.
