President Ramnath Kovind is in Andhra Pradesh for a two-day visit. He was welcomed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Governor ESL Narasimhan.

On July 14 morning, the President will have darshan of Lord Venkateswara and return to the guesthouse.

After a brief stay, the President will leave for the Tirupati airport, from where he will take special aircraft back to New Delhi.

The President sought the blessings of Tiruchanur Padmavathi deity. He will stay overnight at Padmavathi Guest House on Saturday before offering prayers to Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala on Sunday. He will then head to Sriharikota.

In wake of President's visit, security has been beefed in the vicinity. Four SP-level officers, six ASPs and others adding up to 1,692 policemen have been commissioned for President's security.
