Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for united efforts from the global community to eliminate the terrorism from its root. Addressing the Plenary Session of SCO Summit at  Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan Mr Modi said, all humanitarian forces will have to unite to counter terrorism.

Addressing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, Modi highlighted the spirit of SCO and his ideas to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism. He said that India stands for terrorism free society.

Modi said in the presence of Prime Minister Imran Khan that in order to deal with terrorism, the countries would have to come out of their narrow circle and come together to unite against it. Prime Minister Modi appealed to SCO member countries that they should cooperate under the SCO regional anti-terrorist structure.

He appealed to SCO leaders to organize a global conference on terrorism. Modi had reached Bishkek on Thursday for a two-day SCO conference. SCO is an eight-member economic and security group led by China in which India and Pakistan were inducted in 2017.
