Subrahmanyam Shriram has been appointed as the new Advocate General of Andhra Pradesh. State Government Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam issued an order on the appointment of the new Advocate General on Tuesday.

“In exercise of the power conferred by Article 165 (1) of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby appoints Sri Subramanyam Sriram as advocate general for the state of Andhra Pradesh with effect from the date on which he assumes charge of the office”, the GO, signed by Chief Secretary L.V. Subramanyam, stated.

Sriram will replace outgoing AG Dammalapati Srinivas, who was appointed by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government.
