Janasena Party (JSP) chief and actor Pawan Kalyan held a meeting with party leaders on Sunday to review the party's prospects in the Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha elections. This meeting was held at the Jan Sena Party (JSP) office of Mangalagiri in Guntur district. In this, Pawan Kalyan assessed election possibilities with party candidates and senior leaders.
He took feedback from the candidates about the election trends, the public response to the party's campaign and the prospects in the constituencies they have contested. Mr. Kalyan asked the party candidates and the leaders to remain alert on May 23 during the counting of votes. He instructed to keep a close watch on the calculation of the entire counting process.
Pawan urged the party leaders to continue to work to strengthen the organization other than the election results. Party leader Madasu Gangadharam said that the party will focus on strengthening the organization in all the villages for local body elections. He asked the party office-bearers to focus on rural level issues.
Elections were held on April 11 in the first phase for the 175-member state assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies.
JSP has contested 140 assembly seats. He had left 35 seats for his coalition parties Bahujan Samaj Party (21), CPI (7) and CPI (M) 7.
JSP has fielded candidates in 18 Lok Sabha seats while BSP has contested three and CPI and CPI (M) contested two-two seats.
