Navjot Singh Sidhu is lambasting BJP and PM Modi continuously in his election campaign and public meetings. During a meeting in Indore, he said 'Congress is the party of Mahatma Gandhi and Maulana Azad. This is the party that freed the country from the rule of Britishers... You, the people of Indore, will now free the country from the rule of 'Kale Angrez' and chowkidars. Do not underestimate the power of your vote),' the cricketer-turned-politician said.

Former cricketer and cabinet minister in the Punjab Government, Navjot Singh Sidhu had reached Indore to campaign for Congress candidate Pankaj Sanghvi. Against Sanghvi, BJP has fielded Shankar Lalwani from this seat. In Indore, the last phase of Lok Sabha will be held on 19th May.

Addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh the Congress leader had accused the PM of 'benefitting businessman Anil Ambani and making money in the Rafale jet deal' and 'doing politics on the corpses of martyrs'. He also termed Modi as the "biggest traitor" of the country.

The last phase of the seven-phased national elections, which began on April 11, will be held on May 19; votes will be counted on May 23.
