BJP president of Telangana Laxman ended his five-day indefinite hunger strike on Friday on the demand for justice for students on alleged irregularities in the Intermediate Examination Results.

BJP General Secretary Muralidhar Rao said that in the Government Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir gave juice to Laxman. After a few hours of starting his indefinite strike outside the state BJP headquarters on April 29, Police had taken Laxman to NIMS.

Rao told that BJP President Amit Shah spoke to Lakshman. Referring to Shah's conversation with Laxman and Ahir on the phone, Rao said,'You have started an indefinite hunger strike to awaken the people. Now, the whole party will take the movement forward. Looking at your health and doctors' warnings, you should reconsider on the basis of your health.

Murlidhar Rao said that Ahir also held his opinion in front of the party along with the party on the issue, after which Lakshman ended the indefinite hunger strike. The BJP leader said that the party has decided to accelerate the movement in Telangana on this issue.
