Samajwadi Party's patron Mulayam Singh Yadav has been admitted to the hospital. After a sudden deterioration of his health, Sanjay Gandhi was admitted at  Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow.  He was examined by a team of doctors, said Amit Agarwal, the hospital's chief medical superintendent. Agarwal said Yadav has mild uncontrolled diabetes, adding that he would be discharged in the evening.

According to media reports, their electroencephalogram is being examined in SGPG. After this, the MIR will be done. Mulayam Singh Yadav is contesting Lok Sabha elections from Mainpuri this time. Last time he appeared in the 'Mahagathbandhan' Rally in Mainpuri and then went to Saifai to vote on April 23.

On April 19, Mulayam had announced at Manipur that it will be contesting in last elections for the one last time. After this, he will not contest any election.
