The Shiv Sena party, an ally of BJP hailed and approved of BJP’s Manifesto completely. The Shiv Sena party is content as its demand has been included in the BJP Manifesto. The Sena gave it “200 out of 100” marks for its promise to work on the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, as well as promising to scrap Article 370 that provides special status to Jammu and Kashmir.  

In its editorial ‘Saamana’ the Sena stated that "The BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' is one that encapsulates the feelings of the nation. Even the Shiv Sena's demands have been included in it. We, therefore, give the manifesto 200 out of 100 marks”.

Sena’s mouthpiece also stated “Though Prime Minister Modi has given importance to the poor and farmers in the manifesto, he is more concerned about building Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and abrogation of Article 370”

The party full approved of BJP’s vision of the country and said that the government should take significant steps to maintain the integrity of the country and pay homage to the people who have martyred for the country, by scrapping Article 370.

The Sena editorial reads, “If Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah really want to fulfil the dreams of the people struggling for independence then they must first abrogate Article 370. It is because of this article that rules and regulation imposed in other states in India cannot be implemented in the state of Jammu and Kashmir”.

The Shiv Sena editorial also criticised former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah and even Mehbooba Mufti who has threatened BJP for its promise to scrap Article 370.  The party also stated that History will not forgive those who compromise with the Uniform Civil Code and Article 370.

Shiv Sena also stated that it was the last chance to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya and that the promise made to the people should be kept.

Further, Shiv Sena party stressed on its long-held demand of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and scrapping of Articles 370 and 35A, dealing with special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
