Two days before the Lok Sabha elections, there has been a stir in the city's Narayanaguda as the task force has seized a large amount of cash. North Zone Task Force Police on Monday seized a car with cash of Rs 8 crore while performing a search operation in Narayanaguda. Police said that this cash belongs to the people of BJP.
Police first recovered cash worth Rs 2 crore from a person named Pradeep Reddy and on the basis of information given by him in the inquiry, the police have seized cash worth Rs 6 crore. Police have so far arrested 7 people in this case.
Police said that this amount has been drawn from the account of BJP in Narayanaguda Indian Bank. After getting information about taking a large amount of cash from one place to another, the police has caught the cash during this search.
