Mohan Babu, a famous Telugu film actor, joined into the YSR Congress Party on Tuesday. Mohan Babu, along with his son Vishnu, reached the residence of YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Lotus Pond. On this occasion, YS Jagan welcomed Mohan Babu into the party.
It is noteworthy that Mohan Babu Chandrababu has been criticizing N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Recently, he staged a protest in Tirupati on the issue of students reimbursement of fees to the tune of Rs 19 crore for students of his Sree Vidyanikethan Educational institutions in the state.
Addressing the media, he said that'Reddy is a committed leader and will do his best to serve the people after coming to power,'
'For about three-four years, I continued to talk to Naidu regarding the issue. I even wrote letters to him, but nothing happened. With nowhere to go, I had to stage a protest. I am paying salaries of staff by mortgaging assets,' the actor said.
Mohan Babu, who was a Rajya Sabha MP from TDP ticket, has been away from politics for quite some time.
