Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik claimed that no national party will get a clear majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Sunday.

Patnaik was addressing a rally when he said that Odisha remains neglected by the centre at every front.

"Centre supports Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in Polavaram and Mahanadi cases. They are sidelining the interests of Odisha," he said

He announced that the BJD will register a major win in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and will play an important role in formation of government at the Central level.

Mr Patnaik also picked on the BJP-lead Central Government on Special Category Status issue saying, "We have been fighting for Special Category Status to Odisha. It was promised by the BJP during the 2014 Lok Sabha election. After forming government at Centre, BJP has forgotten it."

Odhisa will be voting on April 10th and 17th. According to a few sources, Legislative Assembly Elections in the state are scheduled to be held concurrently with Indian General Elections
