AIMIM party leader and Chandrayangutta MLA, Akbaruddin Owaisi filed an Appellate Nomination letter from Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday. At the same time, there is a confusion that whether Asaduddin Owaisi will contest from other places. Even though Asaduddin Owaisi had filed his nomination papers on March 18 from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and sitting Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi had filed nomination for the same seat on March 18. The move is being seen as an indication that Asaduddin Owaisi might contest from Aurangabad Parliamentary constituency of Maharashtra. MIM is considerably strong in Aurangabad and it is confident of winning the seat due to its alliance with Prakash Ambedkar-led Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh in Maharashtra. Aurangabad MLA Imtiyaz Jaleel of MIM had expressed his will to contest for Lok Sabha. However, with Akbaruddin Owaisi filing nomination from Hyderabad, it is being speculated that Asaduddin Owaisi himself will contest from Aurangabad while leaving the Hyderabad seat for his younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Hyderabad is the old seat of Asaduddin Owaisi. Asaduddin Owaussi has been a three-time MP from this seat. The years have been represented in this area in 2004, 2009 and 2014. Hyderabad is considered as AIMIM stronghold. Asaduddin Owaisi's father had also initiated his political journey from here.
