Moon Moon Sen will contest election from Asansol. She had joined Trinamool Congress in 2014, winning the then Lok Sabha polls from Bankura constituency. She is all set to contest the elections from Asansol and will be competing with playback singer Babul Supriyo. Trinamool Congress hasn't had won any elections from this particular constituency.
The Lok Sabha elections schedule was announced by the Election Commission of India, West Bengal chief minister and All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) chief. Mamata Banerjee announced the list of candidates for the upcoming general elections.
Moon Moon Sen is an Indian film actress best known for her work in Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Kannada films She also starred in Bollywood movies. She has appeared in over 60 films and 40 television series. Moon Moon has received Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1987, for her role in the film Sirivennela.
