The leader of the Opposition party in Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that the party will contest alone in the upcoming general elections, just like they had not coalesced with anybody in  2014, and this time too they will contest alone.

 

 YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s new campaign, " Samara Sankharavam", is launched on Wednesday, February 6, and the first meeting is held at Tirupati. YSRCP State Secretary Talasila Raghuram said that the campaign will start from Yoganand Engineering College.

 

 Addressing a public meeting at the Yogananda College ground near Tirupati. He reiterated that he would support the special status for the state and strive relentlessly to bring the special status to the state. He then has made a major announcement regarding the pension of the elderly. He then said that after coming immediately into the power, he would announce a monthly pension of Rs 3000. Apart from that, all the farmers will be given Rs 12,500 in the month of May every year.

 

 He promised that all the women above the age of 45 years from the SC, ST, BC and minority communities will be paid Rs 75,000 in phases through their respective corporations.  

 

 However, the pension to senior citizens was earlier announced as Rs 2000 under Navaratnalu by YS Jagan. He also assured that the age of the pension receivers will be brought down to 60years from the existing 65 years. He said that it is our YSRCP government that would transform the lives of people.
