Defections are very dangerous in a democracy, however, this seems to be very common in Telugu states. The power-hungry legislators change parties and go with wind or join the ruling parties. Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly speaker Kodela Shivprasad Rao has approved the resignation of three MLA's during the assembly session on Friday at Amaravati. These three MLAs include Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy(Rajampet), Ravela Kishore Babu (Prathipadu MLA) and Akula Satyanarayana (Rajahmundry).
TDP MLA Mallikarjuna resigns from TDP and joins YSR Congress party while Ravela Kishore Babu (TDP) and another BJP legislator Akula Satyanarayana had resigned and joined Janasena Party.
All three MLAs have resigned from their posts and have been approved by the speaker.
