Amongst the various preparations taking place by political parties in regard to the upcoming national elections, KT Ramarao, son of K Chandrasekhar Reddy, leader of TRS met with Jagan Mohan Reddy, leader of opposition in Andhra, YSR Congress Party in Hyderabad on Wednesday to invite the latter to join a non-BJP non-Congress federal front.

KTR has already had talks with various Chief Ministers such as Mamata Banarjee, Naveen Patnaik and MK Stalin. This is the first concrete step taken between the TRS and YSR Congress since KCR introduced the idea of the front. Jagan referred to KCR and his party "great friends" of Andhra Pradesh and also said he would support anyone willing to give Andhra a special category status.

The details of the alliance are still unclear to the public but it is understood that the two will come together, the question is, will they be working together to take down the Telugu Desam Party or will the TSR party only confine the alliance to help the YSRCP by campaigning for them in Andhra Pradesh.
