New Delhi: A final decision on T. Jeevan Reddy being made the TPCC president was put on hold for a day or two. There would be no change in the decision regarding the appointment of Jeevan Reddy for the coveted post. The Congress high command is keen on announcing the whole body of executive in one go instead of doing it in installments. The party leadership is following same method in other States like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
The news that Jeevan Reddy is being appointed as the chief of TPCC was received well by the Congressmen in general and the senior leaders in particular. The seniors are bent upon stopping Revanth Reddy in his tracks. They said Jeevan Reddy is a gentleman and he is known to be clean. However, Jeevan Reddy himself is not very keen on the position that is being offered to him since he thinks it is well nigh impossible to bring about unity in the party with the leaders pulling in different directions. He would be persuaded to take up the charge promising all kinds of cooperation from the headquarters.
