Hyderabad: Saffron is targeting Khammam and Warangal upcoming corporation elections after gaining upper hand in Dubbaka bypoll and GHMC elections. BJP which is improving its strength in Telangana in all corners is moving with an aim to bag these two corporations at any cost. For this, it started ‘Operation Akarsh’ targeting dissidents in the ruling party who include second-level leaders and cadre. The same scene was witnessed during GHMC elections.
Now the name of TRS leader Errabelli Pradeep is on cards who is looking towards BJP. He contested as MLA on PRP ticket in 2009 and lost seat with very little margin. He is now looking towards BJP after TRS kept aside after assembly elections in 2018. He is the brother of TRS Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao. Ex-director of SAP Rajanala Srihari will also take to the saffron colour in few days as per sources. Few sitting corporators who are doubtful of getting seats this time are looking towards BJP for their political survival.
Discussions were fruitful with Pradeep Rao and a few corporators, who decided to join BJP in a few days. This is a clear indication that BJP increased its momentum for Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal MLC elections too along with Corporation election.
Coming to know about this, TRS leaders got alerted and are trying to stop the exoduses, we have to see whether TRS will be successful in stopping them or BJP will gain upper hand.
