- Virtual meeting on 4th, as cases surge
- After April 20th, this is the second such meet
- PM to make statement at the end on Vaccine development
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a virtual meeting with all party floor leaders on 4th, Friday ,as per Parliamentary sources. An invitation was sent to all parties including those which are having less than 5 MP’s . It did happen in earlier meeting held on April 20th.
The virtual meeting will start at 10.30 a.m. on Friday and PM will listen to the statements of the leaders and will come out with a reply at the end. Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha floor leaders were invited after there was a surge in the Covid cases, particularly in National Capital, Delhi.
As per the sources, the winter session of Parliament this year may not take place and next one will be held at the end of January 2021 which is a budget session. With speculations abound regarding the vaccine coming out early next year, this meet turned crucial and politicians are expecting good news from PM, who visited three companies which are developing vaccine for Covid.
Along with PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Harshvardhan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Cabinet secretary Rajiv Gauba, will be participating in the meet.
