Hyderabad: A few days to go for GHMC elections, political parties started war of words and mind games to gain upper hand against each other. Telangana CM KCR is first to start this by saying surveys are in favour of his party and TRS will win 100 seats. TRS party is confident of doing better than last election with a target of 100 seats out of 150. Opposition BJP and congress want to give a jolt to the TRS by gaining more seats.

BJP which won only four seats last time kick-started its campaign at ground level with Bandi Sanjay attacking KCR and MIM party. JanaSena, which is an ally in Andhra Pradesh, wants to make its presence felt in GHMC elections. Its party President Pawan Kalyan had a word with TBJP President Bandi Sanjay and expressed his desire to campaign during elections in Hyderabad.

JanaSena has appointed its committees in GHMC and wants to fight against TRS in partnership with BJP. The party would like to contest for a few seats. BJP is opposing it.  Some BJP leaders strongly feel that JanaSena’s presence in Hyderabad is meagre and there is no need to give seats to that party.

“Pawan kalyan’s presence may fetch TRS party which could use ‘ Andhra Card’ once again, so it is better to keep JanaSena away”, a senior BJP leader felt.  Bandi Sanjay is waiting for High Command’s nod to move ahead.

GHMC elections are considered  a litmus test for all the three major parties – TRS, BJP and Congress and we have to see what the voter has to say this time.
