Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Monday to express gratitude to people for expressing their faith and there afterward worshipping the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple.

PM Modi has reached Varanasi, where UP's Governor Ram Naik and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed him at the airport.

After reaching Varanasi, Modi will go on a roadshow Their convoy will pass through different parts of the city. Given the roadshow of PM Modi, events have also been arranged at his reception there.

District Magistrate Surendra Singh said that heavy security arrangements have been made because of the Prime Minister's visit. Singh reviewed security arrangements related to Modi's visit with Superintendent of Police Anand Kulkarni. Security personnel of the security, paramilitary and special security forces have been deployed in large number where Modi will pass through.

This is the first visit of Modi to his constituency after winning the Lok Sabha election from Varanasi by the margin of 4.79 lakh votes. He not only saved his seat, but also the difference of victory increased by almost one lakh votes in comparison to the 2014 election.
