After the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, a series of resignations has begun in the Congress. After the former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Dr Ajay Kumar has also offered to resign.

He said that he does not want to remain in office while taking the moral responsibility of defeat. Earlier, UP Congress President Raj Babbar also sent his resignation to the central leadership.

Ghulam Nabi Azad said that all the people of the party have faith in Rahul Gandhi's leadership. Rahul did tremendous hard work. But we have failed to break the illusions spread by BJP.

The Congress's performance in Jharkhand was not different from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Of the 14 seats in the state, Congress has won only one seat. It is a different matter that party leaders were making big claims of victory. On the defeat in Jharkhand, Ajay Kumar said that we will review. But this kind of performance was not expected.
