The campaign for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha election 2019 ended on Friday evening. Voting on Saturday 12 May for 59 seats in 6 states in this phase. 

In the sixth phase, UP 14, Haryana 10, MP, four in Bihar and West Bengal, all seven seats in Delhi and four seats in Jharkhand will go to vote. Out of these 59 seats, BJP has occupied the last time for 44 seats in last elections.

A total fate of 979 candidates is to be decided. A survey report released by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) states that out of 967 candidates, 311 are millionaires.

For the sixth phase, all the 6 states have also completed the preparations for the elections. More than 71,000 security personnel will be deployed to ensure violence-free elections in West Bengal. At the same time, 60,000 personnel including home guards and paramilitary forces will be put on duty in New Delhi.

Officials concerned about election preparations in Jharkhand said that to protect IED in Maoist-hit Jangalmahal area, security personnel have been instructed to not use vehicles.
