Union Home Minister and BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Wednesday accused the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu and the Congress party for questioning on a surgical strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan, accused of "hurting" the security forces.

While addressing an election rally in Avanigadda in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, he said that Indian Air Force shook Pakistan after making a surgical strike after the Pulwama terrorist attack.

He said that the previous Congress led by Congress never took any counteraction which killed the terrorists, but after the Pulwama terror attack, our Air Force wiped out terrorists in a surgical strike in the Pakistani territory.

The Home Minister said, 'But the Congress and TDP criticized our surgical strike, hurt our morale of the Armed Forces.'

The Home Minister termed the minimum income scheme as a false promise of Congress. Singh said that from Jawaharlal Nehru to Indira Gandhi and Indira Gandhi to Rajiv Gandhi, he raised the slogan of poverty eradication but nothing was achieved. Now Rahul Gandhi is singing the same song. The Narendra Modi government has taken several measures to eradicate poverty.
