Amidst the recent controversy, Congress has chosen Sam Pitroda to lead its campaign monitoring committee.
The committee includes other Congress leaders Pawan Khera, Rohan Gupta, Praveen Chakravarthi, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Divya Spandana and Manish Chatrath.
The team’s function is to monitor the publicity and campaigns by the Congress party during the Lok Sabha elections and give inputs to the leaders.
If sources are to be believed, the Congress has also finalized an advertisement agency for the elections.
This news comes just a few days after Sam Pitroda found himself in a controversy. The Chairman of Overseas Indian National Congress had questioned the number of deaths in the Balkot air strikes that were carried out by the Indian Air Force on Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror camp in Pakistan on February 26th as a response to the Pulwama terror attack of February 14th. Sam had added that even after the 2008 Mumbai attacks, India could’ve retaliated under the Congress’ rule but according to him, that is not how one deals with the world.
BJP president Amit Shah, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Arun Jaitley, and several other party leaders had lashed out Sam Pitroda for his comments on the air strike in the interview with ANI.
