Former TDP leader Raghuram Krishan Ram Raju who is also one of the important industrialists of West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh joined into YSR Congress party in the presence of YS Jagan at his residence 'Lotuspond' on Sunday.

On this occasion, Raghuram said that YS Jagan should come to power so that all the promises and assurances will be delivered which were denied to the people of the state after partition. He went on to say that it is imperative for YS Jagan to become Chief Minister for the all-round development and welfare of Andhra Pradesh. Describing himself as a fan of late leader YS Rajasekhara Reddy, he said that he has a long relationship with YS Jagan's family.

As it is observed and witnessed elections are fast approaching in Andhra Pradesh; most of the leaders of the ruling TDP are leaving the party and joining in the YSR Congress Party headed by YS Jagan. Up till now, there has been a barrage of shifts and transfer which has happened from TDP to YSR Congress party. So far two TDP MPs, several TDP leaders and also their associates have joined  YSRCP.

TDP has witnessed many shifts and transfers as many of their important leaders who held important positions within the party, prior to holding offices in the government has left the office and even resigned from the party too. Few such leaders, TDP MP P. Raviababu and Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao; besides senior Congress leader and former Union minister Killi Kruparani have also joined YSR Congress party.
